More 7-Year-Olds Search for “Porn” than for “Club Penguin”
Monday, December 21, 2009

An examination of online browsing habits by teens and children has revealed some disturbing results. Among children 7-years-old and younger, the top three most popular websites were YouTube, Google and Facebook. So far, so good. But then, at No. 4, was the word “porn,” just ahead of Club Penguin, an animated site created by Disney just for kids. For tweens, aged 8-12, “sex” replaced “porn” in the number four spot.
The information, compiled by OnlineFamily.Norton, a software program that tells parents what their kids are surfing, also found that for kids 18 and under, the most popular celebrities searched for were Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga.
