Best Employers for Workers over Age 50

With the U.S. workforce getting grayer and grayer, the leading advocacy organization for older Americans wants people to know which companies or institutions get it right with regards to those 50 and above. According to the AARP’s “2011 Best Employers for Workers Over 50,” one-third of all workers in the country will be in their fifties or sixties by 2016, making it important to recognize those whose policies and practices take into consideration this significant labor sector.
Of the top 10 employers ranked by the AARP, four are universities or school districts. The remainder is a mix of private, public or non-profit enterprises. Here are the top 10 with links to their employment opportunity pages.
