Is there something about the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class automobile that makes drivers break the law more often than other vehicle owners? Or does the SL Class just attract a more risky element? A new report from Quality Planning found SL-Class drivers have the highest rate of moving violations—four times the rate of the average car. They were followed by those who own the Toyota Camry Solara, Scion TC, Hummer H2 and H3, and the Scion XB.
On the other end of the scale, those driving Buick Rainier SUVs have the lowest rate of violations, followed by the Mazda Tribute SUV and Chevrolet C/K pickup.
The report also showed a wide range in the age of drivers of various cars. The average age of a Scion TC driver is 30, while average age for Buick Lucerne drivers is 73.
