FBI Runs Ad in Plastic Surgery Newsletter in Search for Mobster Murderer

Catherine Greig
With the trail of gangster James “Whitey” Bulger gone cold, the FBI is now trying a novel approach to locate the fugitive by pursuing his girlfriend, Catherine Greig, who’s had some nip-tuck over the years.
By placing a full-page ad in a recent edition of Plastic Surgery News, the FBI is hoping a plastic surgeon either in the U.S., Canada or overseas will recognize Greig. She previously had breast implants and other cosmetic work performed before she went on the lam in 1995 with Bulger. Because the augmentation was done more than 25 years ago, agents suspect Greig, now 59, might have been in need of some additional work.
Bulger, a fixture on the FBI’s most wanted list, was a longtime informant before being indicted for federal racketeering. He’s also wanted for 19 murders in the 1970s and 1980s.
For the record, according to the FBI, Greig’s 1982 breast implants were made by Surgitek and are from Lot No. 1800-82-C.
