All robots all the time will be the attraction at a new theme park opening in South Korea. Robot Land in Inchon is set to become the world’s first entertainment venue of its kind, when it opens in 2012 and begins pulling in nearly three million visitors a year, creators hope. Everything from roller coasters in the shape of a robot arm to serious robotic research will be on hand at the park that so far has raised $680 million for development. Other features will include a stadium for robotic competitions, water slides, exhibitions covering popular robot characters like Astroboy and “staff” consisting of, yes, more robots.
