Kansas Salesman Claims He was Fired for Voting for Obama
Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Matthew Brandt, owner of KK Office Solutions in Kansas, did not favor the election of Barack Obama as president, and he let his employees know it. In an email to his workers on October 29, 2008, Brandt warned them “to rethink” their vote on November 4, because having Obama in power would hurt the bottom-line for the company and everyone employed by it. He added the Obama administration would amount to “free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can’t pay your mortgage.”
Elliot Snell, a salesman who claims he brought in more than $300,000 in business for KK Office Solutions, was fired a couple weeks after the election because he voted for Obama, according to his lawsuit against Brandt’s company. Snell is seeking his old job back, as well as lost wages and damages of $1.2 million.
