More People Follow Lady Gaga on Twitter than Live in Israel

Nearly two billion people across the globe used the Internet last year, according to statistics compiled by Pingdom.
There were 107 trillion emails sent, at an average daily rate of 294 billion—of which 89% were believed to be spam (262 billion).
Lady Gaga proved to be the most popular person followed on Twitter, with more than 7.7 million people keeping up on the pop star’s every move. That’s more people than the entire population of Israel (7.5 million). Lady Gaga is now closing in on Switzerland, which has a population of about 7.8 million.
