Super Bowl 2008
At the 2008 Super Bowl in Phoenix, Joseph Band, a longtime attorney for the United States Marshals Service who moonlighted as a sports statistician for Fox Sports, arranged, with permission from superiors, to use a Marshals Service vehicle to bring announcers Troy Aikman and Joe Buck from their resort hotel to the stadium. He also provided a vehicle to escort the limos of Buck and Tim McCarver at the 2007 World Series in Boston, and Buck and Aikman at a 2008 NFL Playoff Game in Tampa. When asked to provide a similar improper favor for the Major League All Star Game in July 2007, San Francisco U.S. Marshal Federico Rocha refused.
