How to Search WikiLeaks’ State Dept. Cables

Exploring WikiLeaks’ more than 250,000 confidential State Department cables has been made easier by a group of European computer experts. Cablesearch is a new search engine created by the European Center of Computer Assisted Reporting. The “Google for Cablegate” is still a little buggy, according to Danny Sullivan at Search Engine Land who found it to be “hit and miss” in terms of ability to locate specific documents.
In addition to keyword searching, the database allows searching by date, embassy source and classification rating.
