Hispanic Unemployment Rate Hits Record High

The most recent employment figures released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) were discouraging, with the overall unemployment rate rising to 9.8%, the worst in seven months. However, November was particularly bad for Hispanic workers. For whom the unemployment rate rose to 13.2%, the highest recorded since the BLS began keeping such statistics in January 2000.
