Postal Workers Union Ballots Lost in Mail
Sunday, October 10, 2010
The American Postal Workers Union, which represents employees of the U.S. Postal Service and is the world’s largest postal union, is taking longer than usual this year to choose their national officers. The election is conducted by mail, naturally. But the union’s election committee has only received a small percentage of the completed ballots so far, because—yes—many of them seem to have gotten lost in the mail.
Originally the ballots were mailed September 13-15 and were due on October 5, but the deadline has been extended to October 14.
