David Carradine
Had actor David Carradine received more attention from his personal assistant, he never would have resorted to a dangerous autoerotic act that took his life, alleges his wife in a lawsuit. Anne Carradine is suing MK2 Productions, the film company that her husband was with during his death in Bangkok, claiming the filmmakers violated the terms of David Carradine’s contract.
Among the services promised to the deceased actor was transportation around Bangkok. But on the night of his death, Carradine was left at his hotel by his personal assistant who, unable to reach the one-time star of Kung Fu, went to dinner with other crew members. That decision, Anne Carradine argues, left her husband alone and unable to join his colleagues. Instead, David Carradine hung himself inside his hotel room’s closet while performing a sex act that accidentally asphyxiated the 72-year-old actor.
